our el nino year of 1997, 1998, i have never seen such widespread flooding. i brought this tape to see how deep it is here and it's over a foot and a half of ponding on this road. this is crazy. i have to tell you, i started hearing the raindrops off my rooftop right after midnight and this rain has not let up all cause by the low pressure to the west causing a training effect. the rain just keeps steadily moving in as lawrence was alluding to, we have more rain coming sow what are they doing here in the bay area? they are turning on the drains and starting to try to get all of this water out of this particular parking lot before more water moves back in. now, if you want to just see how much more rain is going to be moving into your neighborhood, it's easy. check out our live high-def doppler radar at cbssf.com/weather. you can even maneuver the radar and see how it is shaping up in your neighborhood. but again, we have more happening in and around the bay area. this is mobile weather right now here in the east bay but let's go to cate caugiran in san francisco. >> reporter: well, rob

will still be down near san jose and the el diablo range but it will be accepting it. still, some residual showers. by 5:00 p.m., spotty showers will remain and even by the midnight hours. the chances of showers are run the bay area. as i mentioned, it is a slow-moving storm. we will have more rainfall than what we saw yesterday that futurecast span pointing one-half of 1 in. that is pretty accurate. i have a reason to believe that this computer rendering will be pretty close. as we move towards a 6:00, the rainfall will be concentrated to the north bay. the rainfall totals will be increasing in a hurry with two-inches. and to notice, not much south of the golden gate until later in the golden gate. put the rainfall totals increasing in the afternoon with 1 in. in oakland, san francisco, with 1 in. in hayward, notice livermore, san jose not picking up that much. we're not going quite seeing as much, we've santa rosa, and nearly three-inches in napa. rainfall totals will be 1-3 in. and most of the valley locations. 3 in. favored in the north bay where it will be lingering 3-6 in. and a hell

con el, mcconnell and reid and he brought a specific plan from the white house with him. that plan from the president in trying to resolve the fiscal cliff asks for, $1.6 trillion in new revenue. and that's supposed to come from raising taxes on the wealthiest. the president's plan asks for an extension of the payroll tax cut. and an extension of unemployment insurance benefits. it asks for a deferral of those automatic sequester cuts to defense spending and to local -- to domestic spend being. and it also asks, i love this one, a multi-year stimulus package, including $50 billion next year, much of that is going to go to recipients creating an infrastructure bank. the president also wants to refinance under water mortgages. and permanently increase the deposit limit without congressional approval every time. the president in bringing this list forward in his plan to resolve the fiscal cliff is just really going for it in this negotiation. he's aiming for the fences, and he has a mandate, folks, and he's not af

. in the meantime, let's go out towards el charro. hopefully you can see that westbound 580 ride. it looks like our camera is just cutting it off but there is an accident approaching the dublin interchange all lanes remain shut down at westbound 580. so they are cleaning up some sort of oil spill in the area. it's a big rig accident there since about 1:50 this morning. and right now traffic is able to get by on the right-hand shoulder. but it's backed up to livermore and pleasanton. and they are saying about 6:00 when they are going to hopefully reopen lanes. let's go towards the bay bridge. you can see cars making splashes this morning especially in the middle lanes where it tends to puddle the fastrak lanes so you can see it is wet and slick and yeah we have high wind advisories in effect for pretty much all our bridges. as michelle just mentioned it's going to be windy, as well. here's a live look across the san mateo bridge, caltrans has warning signs up. you can see that there in the distance. this is westbound 92. eastbound 92. so far no major problems across the san mateo bridge between hayw
